Dgboost: 727 applications for home care apprenticeship programmes
Dgboost is a training provider and apprenticeship training centre. It offers programmes in healthcare, social care, human resources and commerce, and helps its apprentices find a host employer. Listening skills, empathy, adaptability and a willingness to learn on the job are among the qualities it looks for in prospective apprentices.
The challenge: reaching more prospective apprentices
Before the launch, Dgboost received most of its applications through Indeed and HelloWork. Its social media presence remained limited, and screening and candidate follow-up were mostly done by phone. The need concerned home care roles, a sector where hiring is hard.
The campaign targeted prospective apprentices across mainland France and Corsica: home care workers, personal care assistants, social care support workers, healthcare assistants and nurse coordinators. Home care sector or service managers, childminders and foster carers were also part of the target audience.
Objectives: more applications, better suited
- Generate applications for home care apprenticeship programmes.
- Reduce the cost per application.
- Improve candidate suitability rather than chase volume alone.
- Reach candidates who rarely use job sites.
The solution: targeted distribution and screening
Dgboost used Seeqle Attract to combine job ads on job sites, including Indeed, with targeted advertising on social media.
Campaigns were split by role and location. Social media reached people who were not actively looking, while job sites reached those who were.
Dgboost also used Seeqle Match to collect, screen and track applications.
The campaign promoted programmes taken entirely online, over 9 to 15 months.
Results: 727 applications in four months
- 727 applications received over four months of distribution.
- Lowest cost per application: €8.49, reached in the third month, in midsummer.
- An appointment rate one third higher than with the other providers Dgboost works with.
- Cost per application down 67% between the first and third months, and 46% between the first and last months.
What the campaign changed
Dgboost added social media to its presence on job sites.
The target audience was identified more accurately week after week. Cost per application hit its lowest point in the third month, in midsummer.
Conclusion
With 727 applications, Dgboost broadened how it attracts prospective apprentices, through distribution combining job sites and social media. The result: cost per application cut by two thirds between the first and third months, bringing in more candidates beyond its usual channels.
“With Seeqle, we achieved an appointment rate one third higher than with the other providers we work with. Results improved, especially during this summer period, when activity is usually low.”
