Supanotch: 209 applications for a CNC setup technician role
A recruitment and consulting firm dedicated to industry, Supanotch recruits specialised talent and key profiles for its industrial clients, and also supports their growth and transformation, from Annecy, in Haute-Savoie.
The challenge: hiring a CNC setup technician in a market short of talent
Supanotch had to hire a CNC setup technician on a permanent contract for an industrial client in Annecy. The local labour market (Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Ain) faced an acute shortage. The search covered CNC setup technicians, lathe and milling machinists and, more broadly, machining and precision engineering profiles, from recent graduates and apprentices to senior profiles over 50.
Until then, Supanotch had relied solely on direct sourcing, without posting job ads. On LinkedIn, these technical profiles were scarce or did not reply. Direct sourcing was costly and slow, cost per application was not measured, and no channel reached candidates who were not actively looking.
Objectives: find qualified profiles beyond LinkedIn, ready to relocate
- Hire a CNC setup technician on a permanent contract for an industrial client in Annecy.
- Find qualified profiles outside LinkedIn, in a very closed local market.
- Open the search to the whole of France to find candidates ready to move to Haute-Savoie.
- Get a flow of qualified applications at a controlled cost.
The solution: Seeqle Attract and Seeqle Match to reach passive candidates
Supanotch activated Seeqle Attract, the AI Talent Acquisition Agent, to promote the job in a targeted way. Facebook and Instagram ads were the main channel to reach passive candidates. Partner job sites and aggregators completed the distribution to capture active job seekers.
The campaign ran for 44 days. Candidates applied through the application forms of Seeqle Match, the AI Talent Qualification Agent.
Results: 209 applications in 44 days
- 209 applications received over the distribution period.
- Around ten validated profiles for a role in short supply.
Impact on hiring
For a role known to be hard to fill locally, Supanotch received these applications within six weeks of distribution. Around ten profiles were validated and passed on to the end client, a significant result for a role in short supply.
Among them are profiles living outside the region who may wish to settle in Haute-Savoie.
Conclusion
In a closed local market, nationwide distribution surfaced candidates that direct sourcing had not found.
“We would never have sourced these technician profiles without Seeqle. On LinkedIn, they don’t exist or never reply. We absolutely had to try another way, and we realise that your solution opened up an audience we could never have found through our traditional channels. It’s an excellent way to find people who genuinely want to relocate rather than staying stuck in an ultra-closed market. I’m convinced by the Seeqle tool, and I sincerely think it’s an excellent solution.”
